Ellyse Perry named Outstanding Woman in Sport
Former North West Sydney Women’s star Ellyse Perry has been named Outstanding Woman in Sport in the ‘I Support Women in Sport’ awards in Sydney on Tuesday.
The Dual international and Australian International was selected for the award by Minister for Sport Sussan Ley for her outstanding services to not only Football but Cricket also.
Perry has featured for national teams the Southern Stars (Cricket) and Matildas (Football).
She’s also been involved with both Football NSW and Cricket NSW for the Ellyse Perry Challenge.
This Challenge is aimed at girls between 10-13 who have an interest in both Football and Cricket that take part in what is an annual event.
Earlier this year, Perry and hundreds of students graced the football pitches at Valentine Sports Park where groups took part in various activities promoting both codes.
