Lady Cutler Park in Dubbo provided the perfect backdrop to host an entertaining Gala Day on Tuesday, conducted by Football NSW in conjunction with Macquarie Sports.

Around 100 students participated in a series of fun spirited games throughout the day which had support from qualified Football NSW coaches, including Sydney FC W-League player and assistant coach Renee Rollasson.

This was one of a series of Gala Days to be conducted in Regional New South Wales.

Macquarie Sports added to the experience by ensuring that each student that participated got their own football to take home so they could continue to develop their skills.

Rollason was delighted to have seen the round ball game promoted to grassroots players in New South Wales’ Central West.

“It’s great to see so many kids, both boys and girls, excited about football in New South Wales. It is something we are looking to do more of and the support of Macquarie Sports has helped make clinics like this possible”.

Macquarie Sports Manager Chris McKenzie was delighted with the Gala Day and the turnout at Dubbo.

“It’s great to again be working with Football NSW to bring football clinics to all parts of the state.

“It was great to see the enthusiasm of the students participating and the dedication from the teachers and coaching staff to ensure the day ran smoothly.

“We are looking forward to the next event in a couple of weeks”.

Macquarie Sports, a division of Macquarie Bank, are supporting Football NSW in bringing the game to students across New South Wales.
