NSFA Welcomes Women’s Development Officer
Northern Suburbs Football Association (NSFA) prides itself on being a leader in the development of female football.
To continue this commitment to advancing female football, NSFA recently appointed Rani Cavarretta as its Women’s Development Officer.
This is not only a first for NSFA, it is also ground breaking amongst community football in New South Wales.
Rani has a fantastic background in developing young female players.
Most recently, Rani has worked for Football Federation Tasmania as the Federation’s Women’s Development Officer while also playing this season in the Women’s National Premier League in Melbourne.
Rani is qualified as a Grassroots Instructor (coach the coaches) and she also holds both a Senior and Junior FFA C Licence as well as Community Coaching certification from the Australian Sports Commission.
Additionally, Rani is on the verge of completing her Bachelor of Sport Science and Sport Management. NSFA are proud to be able to provide a coach of this calibre to girls within it’s Association and look forward to having as many girls as possible involved in the program.
Rani is hoping to increase the profile of Women’s Football in NSFA, and will be doing some coaching/education, working with Sporting Schools, MiniRoos, NSFA’s Member Clubs and other NSFA programs to grow, develop and increase the standard of the female game and ensure all females have footballing opportunities.
