Campbelltown Quake v Dural Warriors

Minto Indoor Sports Centre 6pm Saturday 28 November

Buckle up folks, it’s going to be a bumpy ride when Campbelltown Quake host Dural Warriors. Unbeaten in 13 league clashes the champs are on a massive roll and they’ll be out to stamp their summer authority with another solid showing against perennial top-four finishers Campbelltown.

Quake will have other ideas though with a playoff position no certainty following the improvement of several competition squads, and they don’t have history on their side – Dural’s won five of their last eight encounters (plus two draws), an emphatic 6-0 grand final victory two years ago still ringing loudly in Campbelltown ears.

UTS Northside v Mascot Vipers

Hawkesbury Indoor Stadium 7.30pm Saturday 28 November

It’s now or never as UTS Northside meet Mascot Vipers in a crunch-match for both sides. With Dural cantering away at the front, a renewed Mascot are embroiled in a four-way affair with Inner West, Enfield and Campbelltown for the next three playoff spots.

Down the back, a dreadfully unlucky UTS stop-and-stutter their season start with three one-goal losses leaving them languishing at the bottom of the table.

Two wins and a draw has given Mascot their best premier league beginning since the 2009/10 summer – the only time they’ve ventured into the open men’s post-season. Last summer’s results were split – an initial 8-3 Vipers win reversed 4-3 by UTS.
