Football NSW and IGA are pleased to announce that the latest IGA Club of the Month winner for September is the Yagoona Lions FC from the Bankstown District Amateur Football Association.

Yagoona Lions had a fantastic end to the 2015 season reaching maximum registrations across grassroots football and experiencing silverware success as well as being crowned ‘Champion Club’ in the Bankstown Association.

The clubs ability to attract corporate investors to sponsor the club in 2015 such as Doltone House, Commonwealth Bank, Bexley Mortgage Loans, Bankstown Hotel, Alland Group, Nailet Carpentry and FI-TA, has helped it become a leader both on and off the field in the Bankstown Association.

Yagoona Lions FC Club Secretary Laurie Clarke was delighted upon receiving news that the club had won such an accolade in what was a successful 2015 football season.

‘We have a very hard working committee and all members are passionate about their football, their club and their fellow team mates which has led to such a high achievement.

“Our members cover many nationalities and our club continues to grow.

“With the support of many past and present members, along with our ‘Say No to Racism’ policy we will endeavour to keep up our high standards.

“Thank you to Football NSW and IGA for this reward which I know will be put to great use by the club.”

Football NSW and IGA are pleased to award Yagoona Lions FC with $500 in IGA gift cards.
