Gladesville Ryde Magic’s charismatic goalkeeper Kiriakos Tohouroglou was recently rewarded for his wonderful achievements at Greek Super League outfit PAOK Salonika for his services to the club prior to one of the Greek club’s first grade fixtures against Veria FC.
The 43-year-old made an impressive 144 appearances for the Thessaloniki based side which saw him also take part in various European matches during his time in Greece.
He became an instant fan favourite and was well loved by the passionate and adoring PAOK Salonika fans.
Tohouroglou, who has held the title of four successive ‘Goalkeeper of the Year’ awards in his division in NSW, signed for PAOK after spending time with Greek giants Olympiakos but also spent time with Doxa Dramas and Paneliakos before returning home to his native country of Australia.
Since moving back to Sydney, Tohouroglou has been a standout as one of the leading shotstoppers in NSW and will be donning the boots once more as the Magic set course for this year’s PS4 National Premier League’s NSW Men’s 3 competition.
