Round two of the State League Women’s sees the action continue with four more blockbuster matches to enjoy highlighted by our match of the round – APIA Leichhardt vs Parramatta FC.

APIA Leichhardt Tigers and Parramatta FC feature in our Match of the Round for the first time this season after contrasting first week.
The Tigers scored twice in the first half to beat Gladesville Ravens while Parramatta FC were the unfortunate victims of Western NSW Mariners FC.
Parramatta FC are a new squad finding their feet and will look to Margaret Isaac to help them gel quickly against a talented APIA Leichhardt team
For APIA they will look to Dana Buttigieg to lift them in what will be a engaging contest between two smart teams.
This leads us to an exciting contest for the match of the round on Sunday night to finish a mouthwatering round of fixtures.
University of NSW Lions vs SD Raiders, Sunday 17th April 2016, 3pm, David Phillips Field
Two first up winners come together as the SD Raiders head east to take on the UNSW Lions.
It was an all-round scoring effort from the Lions to down the Town Rangers while SD Raiders
SD Raiders coach Catherine Cannuli will want her team replicate their first half an hour against St George FC to combat a technical UNSW Lions team.
UNSW Lions coach Renato Jalen will be keen to continue his good start to life in State League Women’s.
Western NSW Mariners FC vs Mt Druitt Town Rangers, Sunday 17th April 2016, 3pm, Jack Brabham Park
Western NSW Mariners were impressive in their demolition of Parramatta FC and look to continue their roll back at home this weekend.
Mount Druitt Town Rangers need to be wary of Mariners striker Sammie Wood after her bag of goals.
Wood fit right in and provided the cutting edge for an already well-drilled team and will be a handful for the visitors to deal with.
Mariners coach Michael Godbier will drill his charges to not drop their standards against a good team in Mount Druitt Town Rangers Sunday afternoon.
St George FC vs Gladesville Ravens, Sunday 17th April 2016, 3pm, St George Stadium
It was a disappointing opening weekend for both St George FC and Gladesville Ravens as they failed to register a win.
For St George FC coach Carlo Tini – he will his ladies to take that second half effort and convert it into the first points of the season.
Gladesville were unlucky to lose to the revitalized APIA Leichhardt so they hope to get some points on the board in what will be a close battle.
