After a successful opener that saw the Putney Rangers record a thrilling 5-4 victory over the Gladesville Ravens in the All Age Men 8’s has come the news that North West Sydney Women’s Association All Age match as the Flying Bats face Kenthurst & Districts at Valentine Sports Park for Football NSW’s Grassroots Football Friday.
The initiative was well received by both Gladesville Hornsby Football Association clubs last Friday and will no doubt give both female teams a great opportunity to play at the home of Football under lights and on a state-of-the-art synthetic pitch free of charge.
North West Sydney Women’s General Manager Denise Robinson said it was a fantastic opportunity for both clubs and for all grassroots football to have the opportunity to play at VSP this year.
“We applaud Football NSW for this great opportunity to allow community teams to experience playing at such a world class facility which I am sure both teams this Friday will greatly benefit from.”
