Vale Stefan Petrovski
Football NSW was saddened to hear the news of the tragic passing of former Sydney Olympic 18-year-old goalkeeper Stefan Petrovski.
Stefan was a promising young goalkeeper who had the world at his feet having recently signed a professional three-year-deal with Malaysian side Melaka United.
The young custodian, who spent most of his childhood growing up in Forest Lodge located in Sydney’s Inner West, was tragically struck by lightning in a freak accident in Malacca on April 5th during a training session.
On behalf of the Football NSW community, Football NSW sends their deepest condolences to the Petrovski family, friends and team mates – may he rest in heavenly peace.
