Valentine Sports Park has again stamped its status as the premier grassroots football hub, with some of the top school-based NSW football talent gearing up for a massive month at the Home of Football.

On Monday and Tuesday, the New South Wales Combined Catholic Colleges (CCC) Football Championships were hosted at the Park, with both boys and girls categories contested.

School children travelled from all corners of the state, as representative sides from Wollongong, Canberra, Armidale, Newcastle, Lismore and Broken Bay competed with teams from across the Sydney region.

The teams faced off on world-class synthetic fields as well as grass fields across the two days, with some exciting clashes and tremendous talent on show.

The games were well attended by friends and family, who were treated to a high-class  display of football.

With selection trials also taking place throughout the two-day tournament, a handful of players will be lucky enough to return to Valentine Sports Park on June 20 & 21, as they represent CCC in the biggest school football event on the calendar: The NSW All Schools Girls & Boys Championships.

This prestigious tournament will see the best football players from the New South Wales Combined High Schools (CIS) and New South Wales Combined Independent Schools (CIS) challenge the CCC for the Championships at VSP.

Football NSW is committed to supporting the continued development of football across the state’s schools, and is proud to be hosting some of the nation’s  best future talented stars in this fantastic series of tournaments.
