Football was the clear winner as the Holy Family School at Kelso and Forbes Public School were hit with round ball fever last week.

As many as 180 students from the Holy Family School at Kelso last Thursday, despite the cold and wintery conditions, took part in football sessions skills and drills.

A further 150 students from the Forbes Public School on Friday took in some football sessions and small sided games also as the School’s multi-purpose hall was used to facilitate the football activities.

Football NSW’s Regional Coach & Development Manager at Western Andrew Fearnley was happy with the promotion the sport received across the two days.

“The two days were a great way to expose over 300 students to our beautiful game as well as allowing the students to partake in physical activity through football.

“It was very pleasing to see the positive attitude of all the students in wanting to participate in the skills and games.”
