NOVA Employment Football4all Gala Day this Sunday

The annual NOVA Employment Football4all Gala Day will be held this Sunday 3rd July 2016 at Valentine Sports Park. 

In its eighth season, the 2016 NOVA Employment Football4all Gala Day, hosted each year by Football NSW, will see teams and players participate in what will be one of the biggest events yet.

Apart from registered Special Needs teams from Sydney, there will be a number of new faces who have taken up the opportunity in being involved with such an event who will partake on all the festivities on the day.

The NOVA Employment Football4all Gala Day brings together and provides opportunity for people with a disability or special needs. 

In what is a true celebration of the world game, the Gala Day is a chance to enjoy a wonderful day with family and friends, playing football in a fun and friendly environment.

The cost of the event is FREE.

Football NSW CEO Eddie Moore was eagerly anticipating the eighth successive event which has gone from strength to strength.

“Football4all has been part of Football NSW for the past eight years with the event growing each year.

“It brings together an opportunity for people with a disability or special needs to enjoy a wonderful day of football with family and friends enjoying the ‘world game’.

 “We cannot wait to host the event in 2016 at our ‘Home of Football’ at Valentine Sports Park.”

Originally scheduled for the 19th of June, the Gala Day was postponed due to poor weather however a special Futsal event for six Special Needs Football Programs that also included the Southwest Football Foundation Trust – Sunshine Football teams from New Zealand was organised.

As many as 82 players participated in this magical event with clubs from the Kings Langley Open Goals Special Needs Program, Macarthur Magic Special Needs Football Club, Mt Druitt Town Rangers AWD Futsal, Nepean Soccer Dragons, SNAPP A ROOS as well as the Southwest Football Foundation Trust all took part.

The Football4All initiative was established in 2008 to further develop the special needs football programs of Football NSW and create a support network for volunteers, coaches, parents and players involved in special needs football. NOVA Employment have been wonderful supporters of Football4all and the annual Gala Day for 5 years and again look forward supporting the players, coaches and volunteers on Sunday.
