Sutherland Shire Football Association to stage Ladies Day
The Sutherland Shire Football Association (SSFA) will showcase the top level of Women’s Grassroots Football in the Sutherland Shire on Sunday 24 July featuring Round 15 of the Sylvania BMW Senior Women A grade (WSA) competition and two Senior Women B (WSB) matches.
The Sutherland Shire Football Association is the largest grassroots sporting association of any code in Australia with over 19,000 registered players this season (approximately one third of whom are female).
The day will feature five high quality games at Harrie Dening Centre, Bates Drive, Kareela (the Home of Football in the Sutherland Shire) as the best women’s club teams in the Shire will compete for honours in one of the most competitive female grassroots football league’s in Australia – all on one of the best grass pitches in Sutherland.
The winners of the prestigious 2014 Football NSW All Age Women’s Champion of Champions and a number of ex-Westfield Matildas will be participating on the day and maybe a future Matilda will also be evident!
