This week sees eight months, fourteen regions and over 3000 games of regional schools Futsal action culminate into a final blockbuster of Championship Futsal action that can’t be missed.

Penrith Regional Valley Sports Centre will once again host the Football NSW Futsal Schools State Championships for all ages between 13 and 18 years for both boys and girls.

Over 195 teams have entered to battle it out for the right to be called State Champions.

Game Development Officer David Plowright has been blown away yet again by the passion and commitment shown by teams this year.

“A huge number of schools now have futsal focused programs within their sports department. Some have been training all year for these events and the quality is really shining through.”

With the Australian National Futsal team, the Futsalroos, about to embark on their 2016 FIFA Futsal World Cup campaign in Colombia, the future of Australian futsal certainly looks bright in the quest for future qualification.
