Northern Suburbs Football Association side Chatswood Rangers recently hosted a special ‘Girls Come and Try Day’, to encourage females to take up the sport of football.

It was a memorable day enjoyed by the 60 plus girls who took part in fun games as well as finishing up with a game of football with the assistance of Football NSW’s Game Development Officer for Women and Girls, Servet Uzunlar.

“It was fantastic to see all the smiles on the girls who thoroughly enjoyed the day.

“It was amazing to also see Westfield Matildas star Georgia Yeoman Dale join in on the day as she took part in a meet and greet with the girls.

“There were also a fair few giveaways on the day with each participant receiving a Matildas poster amongst many other things.

“This is a first of many sessions that will be hosted by clubs in encouraging females to take up the world game.”
