Gala Days success at Northern Suburbs
The Northern Suburbs of Sydney were alive and full of football fever as over 7,900 MiniRoos players took part in the various Gala Days that took shape across a number of grounds in fine conditions over the weekend.
Football NSW supported the Gala Day weekend at Montview Oval, Hornsby Heights where over 1000 players passed through the ground to play their games, final series and collect medals across age groups spanning from the Under 6s to Under 16s.
A huge credit is attributed to all officials and volunteers of Hornsby Heights FC and Northern Suburbs Football Association for hosting an inspiring and exciting event, along with all the players who showed great attitude, respect and sportsmanship.
Hyundai A-League outfit Central Coast Mariners FC joined the excitement on Saturday, with players coming down to hand out prizes, medals and sign items of clothing prior to the A-League season kicking off in October.
A special mention to Jake Da Silva and Tyler Gormley for their assistance on Sunday morning, handing out prizes to those that participated in the Inflatable Shooting Target challenge.
