In a match that will be surely one of the biggest in the club’s rich history, PlayStation4 National Premier League side Blacktown City have drawn Hyundai A-League heavyweights Sydney FC in a dream Westfield FFA Cup quarter-final encounter.

It will be Blacktown City coach Mark Crittenden versus Sydney FC’s Graham Arnold as the current National Premier League Champions have an ideal opportunity to test their might and power against their much fancied opponents in the Hyundai A-League – a test that the entire Blacktown City team cannot wait for.

The likes of players such as Zach Cairncross, Joey Gibbs, Mitchell Mallia, Giorgio and Roberto Speranza and Tristan Prendergast all played for the Sky Blues either at senior or youth level will most certainly have something to prove as will Danny Choi and Patrick Antelmi along with Travis Major, Sasa Macura, Matt Lewis and keeper Nenad Vekic.

It’s been a huge few weeks for Crittenden’s men who only last weekend booked their spot in next Sunday’s 2016 PS4 NPL NSW Men’s Grand Final after defeating Sydney United 58 in an epic encounter 3-2.

This fixture is sure to bring out the spectators who are hoping City can spring an upset and earning a coveted Semi-Final spot in the Westfield FFA Cup.

It will be the second time in as many years Sydney FC will face PS4 NPL NSW Men’s opposition as Arnold’s men faced a stern test against Sydney United 58 in 2014 when the Sky Blues won out that evening 3-1 in front of 8,000 plus fans.

In other matches Green Gully, semi-finalists in 2014, will host reigning Cup holders Melbourne Victory, while the all Hyundai A-League encounter, Melbourne City FC will take on Western Sydney Wanderers FC in the last eight after both sides saw off PlayStation 4 NPL clubs in the Round of 16.

The remaining Quarter Final will see Canberra Olympic host a third straight Cup tie when they welcome Green Gully to the national capital.

The Westfield FFA Cup 2016 Quarter Finals will comprise two match nights with two matches per night on either of the following dates – 20/21/27/28 September 2016.

FOX SPORTS will broadcast one match live and exclusive in full on both match days in the Quarter Finals with LIVE streaming and updates of the other two matches.

The specific match details in regards to the dates, venues and kick-off times will be announced in the coming days.
