Spirit FC appoint David Perkovic as head coach
Spirit FC is pleased to welcome David Perkovic as its First Grade coach and Senior Technical Director.
David joins Spirit FC after a successful year with Mounties Wanderers where he took them from the foot of the table in 2015 to one game away from the PS4 NPL NSW Men’s 2 Grand Final in 2016.
Prior to Mounties, David was First Grade Coach at St George FC and Fraser Park, and spend two years as a fulltime professional head coach with Kaya Futbol Club in the Philippines
“David impressed us with his progressive philosophy and football plan and his track record of developing teams” said Mark Lockie, General Manager at GHFA & Spirit FC.
“He comes highly regarded in the football community and his approach was a perfect fit for the strategic direction of the Association and the Club. Together with the exciting facility redevelopment at Christie Park in 2017, we are confident David can take us where we want to be over the next few years.”
David said he was pleased to be joining Spirit FC at such a promising time and believes there is plenty of upside potential for the club.
“I am excited and honoured to be working with Spirit FC especially at this moment in time whereby the club have great plans in place; this is clear with the redevelopment of Christie Park and where we aim to take our football as a club.”
Other appointments finalised for Spirit FC are Michael Yarnold as First Grade Assistant and conditioning coach and Samuel Jacob as U20 coach. Together with Alex Apanian as U18 coach, Spirit FC has put together an impressive senior coaching team.
