Cassilis Public School caught up in Football fever
Cassilis Public School situated near Mudgee was brimming with excitement as the school hosted its Multi School Multi Sport Gala Day with Football well represented last Friday.
Over 200 enthusiastic schoolkids attended and participated in football sessions across the day.
Schools that attended this mammoth day included Cassilis Public School, St Joseph’s Primary School,(Merriwa), Sandy Hollow Public School, Martindale Public School, Mudgee Public School, Sacred Heart Primary School (Coolah) and Ulan Public School.
Football NSW Regional Coach and Development Manager Andrew Fearnley put the players through some fun skills and small sided games.
In addition to regular football participants, Fearnley was pleased to expose a large number of students to the game.
"There was a large number of non-registered players who enjoyed the football sessions and were now talking about playing football next year.
“That’s a great sign that our sport continues to inspire as well as appeal to everyone.”
