Ante Juric appointed Football NSW Women’s Advanced Coach Education Manager

Football NSW has today announced Ante Juric as the Women’s Advanced Coach Education Manger.

As part of the board of Football NSW’s support and development of girls’ and women’s football, Ante Juric has today been appointed to the newly created role of Women’s Advanced Coach Education Manager.

Juric, a former Socceroo, brings a wealth of experience to this position having been the FFA Assistant National Technical Director, Assistant Coach to the Matildas, Head Coach of the Young and Junior Matildas and the NSW NTC Institute Head Coach.

Football NSW Interim CEO, Stefan Kamasz, sees the appointment of Juric as a major step towards consolidating the importance of the roles coaches play in our game.

“Football NSW is delighted to have someone of the calibre of Ante on board.  He is a wonderful addition to our already talented community and elite coaching staff.  Coach education is a major priority at Football NSW and Ante’s knowledge and experience working in girls’ and women’s football will bring significant benefits in the development of coaches and players in NSW across the this very important sector of our game."

Juric was elated with the appointment and is looking forward to the challenges that lie ahead.

“I’m very happy to have been appointed to this newly created role and I am really looking forward to the challenge as well as working alongside a strong team unit at Football NSW.  I aim to continue to progress the women’s game, which plays a vital role in the development of our wonderful sport.”

The 43-year-old, who will commence his duties on January 10, will join former Socceroo Captain, Alex Tobin, on the Football NSW elite coaching staff, with Alex continuing his role as Men’s Advanced Coach Education Manager.
