GDSFA stage successful activation area in Parramatta
Granville & District Soccer Football Association and clubs representing Holroyd Rangers, Granville Waratahs, Granville Kewpies and Dundas United took part in a special activation day held in Parramatta on Thursday 16th of February as part of its drive for new registrations for the 2017 Grassroots Football season.
Football NSW were on hand to offer their support by assisting with Granville & District Soccer Football Association putting together a penalty shootout and foot tennis drill while Western Sydney Wanderers were also present as players Terry Antonis and Mario Shabow were on hand, signing autographs as well as encouraging players to register for the new year.
Granville & District Soccer Football Association CEO Mike Quarmby was pleased with how the day unfolded and hoped that the Association benefited from the many new registrations they received throughout the course of the day.
“We hope this initiative will turn into new players for Granville, but we were here also to promote our partnership with the Western Sydney Wanderers and Football NSW for the betterment of the game.
“On behalf of the Board and Management, thank you very much to all who came down to help.
“We certainly appreciate your time and support.
“Thank you to Parramatta Council’s Albert Gittany for his support and facilitation as well.”
