Southern Districts Soccer Football Association has continued its push in promoting football within its local area by visiting the pupils at Heckenberg Public School on Wednesday.

Joint Southern Districts Technical Directors Rod Galic and Catherine Cannuli along with Football NSW’s Men’s Advanced Coach Education Manager and former Socceroo skipper Alex Tobin were present on the day, where they were treated to fun activations as well as receiving football gear donated by the local association.

Galic praised the hard work and efforts the Heckenberg Public School had gone through in aiding with the promotion of the world game alongside their local association, who also run the school’s football development program.

“Heckenberg Public School deserves great praise for the big welcome Rod, Catherine and Alex received on the day.

“All of the kids were involved in the football discussion that took shape and were all very well behaved in the school hall and it was amazing seeing the smiles on their faces upon receiving various football gear.”

Tobin echoed Galic’s thoughts and applauded Southern Districts Soccer Football Association’s commitment in educating football to students within their local area.

“It’s a fantastic initiative shown by the association in further preaching football to the young kids at Heckenberg Public School.

“The day was a huge success and it was great to see the kids enjoy what was an amazing day for everyone involved – well done to Southern Districts Soccer Football Association.”
