Riverina Schools were treated to Football NSW Clinics as football fever spread across 250 girls and boys from the Murrumburrah Public School, Trinity Public School, Sacred Heart and EA Southee Public Schools on Tuesday.
Football NSW Coach Education Manager Oscar Gonzalez along with Football NSW Community Development Officer Demelza Howard travelled to both Harden and Cootamundra to assist in the promotion of the sport, as well as putting on special drills and skills sessions in the South West Slopes Association.
“The turnout was fantastic and we couldn’t have asked for a better reception.
“The clinics were very well received by not only the young boys and girls but the coaches as well as the many onlookers, mostly parents, who acknowledged our assistance in promoting football within their areas.
“We are blessed to have a number of talented youngsters running around these regional areas and it was amazing to see them put to the test via our special clinics. “A big thanks to Ray Godbier, Mick Godbier, local coaches and the Murrumburrah students for their assistance in running small sided games.”
