Sutherland Sharks will have a new face on its bench against Sydney FC this Saturday with former Socceroo Grant Lee taking charge of the senior squad replacing Carlos Vilazon.

Lee, a former Sydney Olympic legend, who also coached at the club held various positions as the Technical Director as well as coordinating the women’s programs at the Blues, has made the change to Seymour Shaw with the hope of getting the Sharks back on that winning track.

Apart from donning the Blues kit, the former tenacious midfielder also played for the likes of Sydney City, Blacktown City, Warringah Dolphins and Canberra Deakin as well as having been involved with the AIS setup in Canberra.

Currently in tenth position with three points, the Sharks, with only one victory for season 2017, will look towards clinching its second away win to a determined Sydney FC outfit at Lambert Park on Saturday.

Ironically, Lee will face a former Sharks boss in Robbie Stanton who had much success at the Shire based club during his time prior to leaving his post for the head Sydney FC PS4 NPL NSW Men’s coaching role.
