Football NSW has concluded its investigations into ineligible players participating in Round 1 of the PlayStation 4 NPL NSW Men’s Competition.

We can confirm that two Clubs, Sydney United 58 FC and Wollongong Wolves FC, inadvertently fielded ineligible players in Round 1 of the PlayStation 4 NPL NSW Men’s 1st Grade Competition in breach of the FNSW Competition Regulations 2017 (Regulations).

As a result of the breaches and in accordance with the Regulations, both clubs forfeit their 1st Grade matches in Round 1 and the opposing clubs are awarded three points.

Football NSW will shortly update the affected matches on the Football NSW website to reflect the determinations made.

In light of these incidents, Football NSW will continue to work with clubs to avoid these issues occurring again in future seasons.
