Bankstown City Lions 1 defeated by Sydney Olympic 4

Sydney Olympic set down a marker for the rest of the NPL 2 NSW Women’s competition with a dominant 4-1 victory over Bankstown City Lions.

Madeline Costanzo was the star of the show as she netted a hat-trick in the rout.

The home side had their chance to get back into the contest when Yasemin Genc scored but it didn’t spur on her side.

Courtney Holmwood added the fourth to round out the display from Sydney Olympic on a sunny afternoon.

Inter Lions 0 defeated by Sutherland Shire FA 2

Sutherland Shire FA remain the only undefeated side in the competition after a tough 2-nil victory over Inter Lions.

Jordan Baker got herself on the scoresheet once again to take her season tally to four.

Inter Lions had their chance to get back in the contest from the spot but sent it wide.

The points were confirmed for the shire when Jess Ellis got the second for the visitors.

Marconi Stallions 1 drew with Central Coast Mariners 1

Both teams were forced to share the points after a rugged encounter in Sydney’s south west.

Alesha Clifford gave the home side the perfect start as she netted a goal for them.

Mariners would fight back though and equalise through Candice Phelan to make it 1-1.

Neither side were able to find a winner to push themselves up the ladder.

Nepean FC vs Gladesville Ravens

Gladesville were denied their first win of the season late by a dogged Nepean FC tonight.

Kirrilly Moore  set the Ravens on track with her goal to make it 1-nil.

Nepean FC clawed back a point back with ten minutes remaining to give the teams a share of the points.
