Valentine Sports Park was the venue full of action on Monday 8th of May as the 2017 Association of Independent Co-Educational Schools Tournament took place where eight teams competed in both the Boys and Girls categories with the hope of taking out the coveted Championship trophy.

With a number of quality players on display, the competition was fierce as schools from regions such as New Anglican Schools Sports Association, Southern Anglican Schools Sports Association, Independent Sydney and Districts Schools Sports Association, Combined Districts Secondary Sports Association, Hunter Region Independent Schools, Western Associated Schools, South Western Independent Schools Sports Association and Hills Zone Sports Association went toe to toe.

The Girls category saw the Hunter Region Independent Schools take out the silverware defeating the New Anglican Schools Sports Association in a tight encounter 1-0 while the New Anglican Schools Sports Association bagged one back as they took out the Boys top award defeating the Hunter Region Independent Schools 2-0.

Apart from bragging rights at stake, the day was also a chance for selectors to see who did their bit in winning themselves a spot to represent the Association of Independent Co-Education Schools as the Combined Independent Schools Championships set to be held at Valentine Sports on the 22nd and 23rd of May.
