Round 10 of the Women’s State League again produces some intriguing contests as SD Raiders FC host an in-form UNSW while bottom placed Parramatta FC face a St George FC outfit fresh from the bye and top of the table APIA Leichhardt Tigers FC welcome Mt Druitt Town Rangers FC to Lambert Park in the late kick off.

SD Raiders FC vs UNSW, Sunday 11th of June 3pm, Ernie Smith Reserve

SD Raiders FC host an in-form UNSW side on Sunday afternoon at Ernie Smith Reserve with the Raiders looking for their first win in 3 weeks.

The SD Raiders will be conscious of the importance of three points to stay in the top 2 they find themselves only 4 points ahead of 5th placed Mt Druitt.

UNSW on the other hand have been in good form over the past few weeks including taking a point from top of the table APIA in the previous round.

They will know a win against the Raiders could take them as high as a second but will be wary of a Raiders outfit looking to bounce back at home after a few ordinary results.

Raiders coach Catherine Cannuli will know the importance of her team rediscovering the early season form which had them sitting at the top of the league and will see this home match as a perfect catalyst to get back to winning ways.

UNSW coach Renato Jelen will also be conscious of the impact on this game and the three points for his team as they look to continue their good recent form.

Parramatta FC vs St George FC, Sunday 11th of June 3pm, Melita Stadium

St George FC will head into their fixture with Parramatta FC confident of taking all three points from their visit.

St George will see this fixture as an opportunity to continue their push for final football as they take on a Parramatta FC team bereft of any confidence.

Parramatta headed into the previous round buoyed by their first point of the season which they picked up against SD Raiders. This positivity though quickly turned as they were well beaten by Mt Druitt Town Rangers FC as the early season fragilities again raised their ugly head.

St George coach Carlo Tini will be reminding his team of the need for them to maintain their focus ahead of the fixture and the ability Parramatta do have of taking points off teams as they showcased against SD Raiders.

APIA Leichhardt Tigers FC vs Mt Druitt Town Rangers FC, Sunday June 11th 7pm, Lambert Park

In the late kick-off, APIA play host to Mt Druitt in what should be a highly entertaining contest.

Mt Druitt will enter the game in a confident mood after their big win over Parramatta but will also be conscious of the huge challenge APIA will provide.

APIA themselves will be looking to get back to winning ways after their last start draw against UNSW and maintaining their 4 point lead at the top of the competition.

The game promises to be a free-flowing contest as both teams carry goal scoring threats and have shown this year they are able to punish defensive lapses.

APIA so far have set the standards for the competition but will be wary of a Mt Druitt team which is improving each week under the tutelage of head coach Danny Abboud.

APIA coach Matteo Maiorana will be looking for his team to continue their undefeated start to the year and maintain their strong home form at Lambert Park.
