NSW Powerchair Football representatives shine at FIPFA World Cup

The Australian Powerchair Football team the ‘Poweroos’ have finished four at the 2017 FIFPA World Cup losing 3-0 to England in the place for third spot.

The “Poweroos” who have five of our NSW Powerchair Football players finished in four place behind England, USA and tournament winners France.

The NSW and Australian Powerchair Football star player Abdullah Karim was voted the Most Valuable Player at the FIPFA World Cup 2017, crowning him the best player in the world.

Peter Turnbull the Coach of the National Team had clear goals of what he wanted the boys to do in the tournament.

“Well after an arduous preparation and tournament, we have achieved the goal I set for the team of a top 4 finish.

“The only 3 teams in the world now in front of us are USA, England and France”.
