NSW U15 Girls Metro Crowned National Champions

The NSW U15 Metro Girls side led by coach Nadine Shiels have been crowned National Champions after a fantastic week of football in the Westfield National Youth Championships that took shape at Coffs Harbour.

NSW Metro were the clear National Winners in the 15 Years category as they finished an incredible 10 points ahead from nearest rivals Football West who finished second.

In what was a tightly contested Championships with a frantic race to the final day of fixtures, Queensland claimed the title of the 14 Years National Champions in Group A whilst Capital Football took out the title in Group B.

In the tournament’s individual award winners, referee Rebecca Mackie took out the category for the 14 years ‘Referee of the Championships’ plaudits while in a double sweep for the state, Football NSW Metro 14’s star Darcy Malone and Football NSW Metro 15s young gun Margaux Chauvet both claimed the Player of the Championships for their respective age categories.

Congrats to all NSW Metro and Country teams that participated and did the state proud!
