Young Matildas Wins Player of the Tournament Award

The NSW Combined High Schools Girls State Football Championship was held last month at Valentine Sports Park.

Host Region, Sydney West, were the State Champions, defeating Sydney North in the final. Sydney West achieved the double this year, having won the Boys State Championship at Griffith at the end of May.

The Player of the Tournament was The Hills Sports High School student Alyssa Rose (Sydney West). Alyssa has recently been selected in the Young Matildas squad for matches against the USA and Canada this July in Canberra. The Player of the Final was Eliza Ammendolia (Sydney West) and the Emerging Country Talent was Bronte Trew (South Coast).
