Lilli Pilli FC ready for Bill Cullinan Cup Final

Sutherland Shire Football Association side Lilli Pilli Football Club are eagerly anticipating the DEPLOY Football Bill Cullinan All Age Mens State Cup Final to be held at Valentine Sports Park on Wednesday 2nd of August.

Lilli Pilli have two strong sides in the top Sutherland Shire All Age Mens competition.

These two sides together have over 380 years of playing history at the club and secured the All Age Men State Cup in 2013, 2015 and 2016 and are striving to make some history in 2017 with a win over Northern Suburbs Football Association’s Northbridge FC in the up and coming Final.

The State Cup is a challenging goal for any Association based amateur team as it inevitably involves a lot of travel, on top of their local Association competition games, to progress through to the Final.

The Lilli Pilli FC “2” side’s travels in 2017 have included away games to Griffith (to face a full strength Yoogali side on home turf), to Mt Colah (to face Northbridge ‘2’), to Manly (to face Forest Killarney FC) and a recent Semi Final at VSP against Merrylands SFC.

“We’re anticipating a great game of association football next Wednesday night. These are two of the strongest teams, from two of the strongest association based clubs in the state.

“We’re proud of the achievements of our sides over the past 5 years in the State Cup and making this Final is a milestone for our side however there is an important game still to be played against a very strong opposition,” said Greg Storey, President of the Lilli Pilli Football Club

The Lilli Pilli side, coached by David Smith and David Paget is; Chris Boland, Dean Boland, Harry Farmer, Tom Gollins, Ben Harrison, Redah Hassan, Aaron Hodge, Dale Hodge, Sam King, Braydon Lucas, Mitch Parker, Nathan Pinkus, Ben Ross, Tom Stanton, Nathan Stojanovic and Jamie Wood (c)
