Football NSW attended George Bass School’s fourth consecutive football Gala Day on Wednesday 26th of October with students from five different schools enjoying football on a warm springs day.
The Gala Day welcomed both junior and seniors from George Bass School, Mainsbridge School, Broderick Gillawarna School, Caroline Chisholm School and Holroyd School as various mini football games were put on display for excited students.
Plenty of goals were scored along with FIFA World Cup celebrations as Holroyd School won their Senior Competition and Caroline Chisholm taking out the junior competition.
Assistant Principal Toula Finka was extremely proud with how well all the students played.
“The six-week BDAFA Schools football4all program in Term 2 has shown how far these students have come in understanding how to play football and improving their skills, this day would not be possible without the support of Football NSW and Bankstown District Amateur Football Association.”
Football NSW would like to thank Shane Merry, General Manager of Bankstown District Amateur Football Association for the donation of footballs to George Bass School and its member clubs support.
