Abdullah Karim defying all the odds

Abdullah Karim has had an amazing 2017 season.

The 26-year-old labelled the “Lionel Messi” of Powerchair Football was recently rewarded as the ‘Most Valuable Player’ at the recent 2017 Powerchair Football World Cup held in the United States.

The current Western Sydney Wanderers Powerchair footballer caught world headlines after barn storming performances grabbed the attention of the Powerchair community – but it is Karim’s amazing journey that has really sparked up the massive interest in one amazing athlete defying all the odds.

Football NSW put together a touching piece on ‘Abz’ going one on one with one of the greatest ever Australians to have played the sport.

His never give up attitude has seen him reach the pinnacle of his sport despite unimaginable obstacles.

He continues to inspire disabled and able-bodied athletes around the globe.
