King Park Public school have taken out an incredible record breaking tenth NSW State PSSA Knockout title after defeating Byron Bay 3-0 in the Final played out at Valentine Sports Park on the 16th of October.

Over 600 schools entered the NSW State PSSA Knockout tournament with the King Park Public School going through an incredible seven sudden death rounds before clinching the big one in mid-October.

Southern Districts Football Association Technical Director Rod Galic and State Member for Fairfield Guy Zangari presented the schoolboy Champions with their coveted engraved medallions in what was an amazing achievement for such a football crazed area. The State Member also read out his official State Parliament document promoting the schools record breaking success.

Galic, a former student himself heaped nothing but praise for the school.

“Congratulations to the King Park Public School and to all involved for taking out such an accolade.

“To be able to say that you have won a title ten times is a rarity and the boys did just that.”
