After yet another successful Futsal National Championships for NSW that took shape in Canberra last week, one of the major talking points behind the tournament was the development of the NSW coaches.

Football NSW Futsal Teams Technical Director Jaime Amendolia applauded each coach from the 12 Boys right through to the Open AWD Mixed teams that did that part in representing the state with pride.

“As the Technical Director of our Football NSW Futsal coaches it was a pleasure to watch as our coaches guided their players through the week with professionalism and knowledge.

“A week-long training camp gave our players the tools needed to compete at the highest level and our coaches should all be commended for both their time and expertise they passed on.”

An integral piece of the puzzle for NSW coaches was the workshop and training provided prior to the tournament beginning.

“Football NSW held its annual coaches conference the night before the tournament started in Canberra.

“The atmosphere of learning and also sharing knowledge with others in a group environment was a positive experience for all involved.

“Present in the conference were both Futsalroo and Ex-Futsalroo coaches Rob Varela and Scott Gilligan.

“It was also pleasing to have Football NSW’s Oscar Gonzalez present to share his thoughts.

“I would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every coach for their efforts over the last two weeks. Your efforts were present in the way your teams played during the tournament. The culture within the Football NSW Futsal coaching community is strong and only achieved by your hard work.

“As is always we are now reviewing where we can improve, however, our Football NSW Futsal State Teams are heading in the right direction.”
