Fine skies greeted Eurobodalla Football Association as it held its first ALDI MiniRoos Coaching Certificate course for the year, aimed at new coaches for the Under 5 through to Under 11 age groups in the upcoming Association’s winter football competition.

The course was conducted by local Coaching and Development Manager, Gary Megay, who resides in Batemans Bay and travelled to Moruya where the course was held.

Also in attendance was Football NSW Coach Education Manager Oscar Gonzalez who assisted with the course.

“Gary is well respected across the Association and working with him again, it’s easy to see why.

“He comes from a strong knowledge base and couples this with a down to earth friendly manner that makes you want to just listen to everything he has to say.

“I am already looking forward to our next course together.”

Coaches from several Clubs attended and were introduced to different practices and exercises aimed to ensure their coaching is fun as well as instructive.

Some coaches already had experience assisting with the coaching of their child’s team, whilst others had no knowledge of Football or experience in coaching.

The Coaches then had an opportunity to manage the group through to show what they had learned with each candidate participating in good spirits.
