Record number of clubs ready for State Cup action

A record breaking total of 623 clubs are set to do battle as the Preliminary and Round 1 matches of the 2018 State Cup have officially been announced by Football NSW.

The 2017 season featured 542 team entries but 2018 has seen an increase of 81 clubs, breaking the Member Federation’s record to 623.

The first host of matches will see 16 associations represented across 44 fields in NSW with Northern Suburbs FA’s Northbridge FC the strongest of the lot, featuring an impressive 14 teams across various age groups.

Along with Northbridge, Canterbury District Soccer Football Association’s Earlwood Wanderers and Hills Football Association’s Castle Hill United will have 12 teams featured.

Sutherland Shire FA will have 68 teams in total join the fray while Canterbury will have a total of 60 clubs represented.

Please note that not all age groups commence in Round 1.
