Football NSW is pleased to announce that the Under 17 Girls National Training Centre Challenge squad has been selected.

This team will represent NSW at FFA’s 2018 Girls National Training Centre Challenge in Canberra from 28th May till 1st June.

The Tournament will be held at the Australian Institute of Sport and will see teams from each Member Federation in a competitive environment under the watchful eye of National Coaches and team selectors.

With the ongoing support from the NPL Women’s top tier and 2 clubs, a selection of identified players were invited to attend a series of training sessions with the Girls NTC Head Coach Leah Blayney, and from this, a squad of 18 players were selected.

The calibre of players that have been selected for the final team as well as those identified is outstanding and a credit to the development and opportunities that these players are receiving at all levels of our game.

Technical Director for Girls/Women’s Football, Ante Juric said

“Football NSW is proud of the way the state has lead the way in developing our young female footballers.

“With this team and the current group of players coming through, we are expecting these NTC Championships to continue a tradition of some exceptional performances.

“There are players in this team that will, in a few years’ time,  be household names as they progress through in to the Westfield W-League and ultimately Young Matildas and the full Matildas.

“This Tournament is an important developmental stage for them to showcase what they have at a National level and against their peers.”

The players who will represent NSW at this year’s NTC Challenge are:
