ALDI MiniRoos Take Over Cromer Park

MWFA-MKO-Come-n-Try

It was a day of future footballers to admire their club heros, as Manly Warringah Football Association hosted a ALDI MiniRoos ‘Come ‘n’ Try’ Day at Cromer Park on Saturday the 16th of June 2018.

The home of the National Premier League NSW regining champions Manly United FC, was bursting at the seams with young footballers testing out their skills, and learning new ones within the session.

With the buzz of the 2018 FIFA World Cup in the atmosphere, the participants involved had a fun-filled day, thanks to the Manly United FC & Manly Warringah Football Association coaches, who were able to create engaging sessions; in line with the MiniRoos Kick-Off Style Program.

The Football NSW inflatable shooting target made an appearance on the day, as did Football NSW Game Development Office Kevin Amaya with a host of giveaways for participants.

Kevin was thoroughly impressed with the session, and its link towards the senior grades in the National Premier League.

“It is fantastic to see the Manly Warringah Football Association capitalize on game day for the NPL Men’s, and adding to the football experience. The session was well run and engaging, and it was great to see the children enjoy the shooting target as part of the session.”

Jordan Lefebvre who is the Community Development Officer at Manly Warringah Football Association, was thrilled about the 60 participants involved in the day’s session

“We (MWFA) are so excited about bringing the Kick-Off program to Cromer Park for all our northern beaches members. Our goal to drive up the number of kids playing football and hopefully by giving kids the option of football early will encourage them to join a club in a few years’ time and start their football journey”
