West Pennant Hills Cherrybrook FC football4all Program Flourishing
Over the weekend Football NSW celebrated our 10th NOVA Employment football4all Gala Day, although a club who has been hosting inclusion programs before our gala days is the West Pennant Hills Cherrybook Football Club.
The club who is in their eleventh year of running the program, have been avid activist within this space as Football NSW Community Game Development Officer Charlotte Ercil was able to experience during her visit to the club.
At the forefront of the program is Salvko Visevic & Brad Walker, who every Saturday from March to August host session for participants followed by a team BBQ.
Each session the group learn new fundamental skills, drills and other key components which are then used in the highly anticipated end of year fixture between the club’s Premier League side; which is always a tight encounter.
During Football NSW’s visit the Pararoos also made an appearance on the day, through players Taj Lynch, Ben Sutton and Daniel Campbell. The National Representatives took this opportunity to talk to both parents and players on the day about their experiences, as well as answered questions from parents.
Charlotte praised the program, and also the Pararoos for taking the time out of their schedule to visit the session
“football4all is such important part of our football community, and clubs such as West Pennant Hills Cherrybrook FC were leaders within this space. Both Salvko & Brad do such incredible work with this group, and having the Pararoos visit just shows the community spirit within this space.”
