Puma Cup and Trophy Competitions Near Completion

d2

The NSW Combined High Schools State Knockout Competitions have now reached the quarter-final stage. The Puma Cup (Boys) and Puma Trophy (Girls) are played firstly within each of the ten state Regions to determine the Regional Champions. The Regional Champions then play one another in the “Round of 16” and, with the exception of one game, these games were completed by the end of the second school term.

The quarter-finals are to be completed by 3 August and the semi-finals will be played at Valentine Sports Park on Wednesday 15 August. The finals will be played one week later at Seymour Shaw Stadium.

Running concurrently with the above competitions are the Puma Cup and Trophy competitions for the five Sports High Schools. The schools play a round-robin format with the top two schools in both Boys and Girls featuring in finals on 22 August. In the Girls Trophy competition the final will be played between two of Hunter Sports HS, Westfields Sports HS and The Hills Sports HS. The same three schools feature strongly in the Boys competition but both Bossley Park HS and Endeavour Sports HS have an outside chance of making the final.
