The ALDI MiniRoos festivities were in full swing over the weekend, as Blacktown District Soccer Football Association held a gala day which stretched across their whole region

The weekend of the 4th & 5th of August saw the association host seven venues, with 3,822 participants all from their affiliated clubs in a fun size weekend

The venues included

  • The Ponds FC
  • Newbury Bulls Soccer Club
  • Kings Langley Soccer Football Club
  • Marayong Football Club
  • Doonside
  • Mt Druitt Town Rangers
  • BDSFA at Blacktown Football Park

The gala weekend was a huge success for Blacktown District Soccer Football Association as well as their local clubs, with the ALDI MiniRoos demonstrating it’s inclusiveness within the region. Some of the children were able to get up close and personal with some Hyundai A-League stars, with the Western Sydney Wanderers making an appearance on the day at several locations.

Many clubs took to Instagram and Facebook  with various photos, videos and posts about the weekend using the @ALDIMiniRoos @FootballNSW links and following hashtags #ALDIMiniRoos #FootballNSW

Football NSW supported the event by providing ALDI vouchers which were used by BDSFA to cover the cost of bread for their sausage sizzle which was given to every child. A total of more than 400 loafs of bread were provided by ALDI Arndell Park.

Football NSW would like to congratulate Blacktown District Soccer Football Association on a wonderful event
