Coaching Applications Now Open For the Football NSW Girls Institute Program

Football NSW is inviting suitably qualified coaches to apply for several coaching positions in its Girls Institute Program for the 2019 season.

The Football NSW Girls Institute program is a full-time program for talented girls in NSW, who will compete in the Women’s NPL 1 competition.

The prime focus of the FNSW Institute Program is to support the ongoing development of talented FNSW athletes to progress to the next level within the FFA national player pathway.

The purpose of the role is to provide talented footballers with the opportunity to develop and progress through the Girls Talented Player Pathway (TPP). The elite coaches will work with the Football NSW (FNSW) Technical Department to create and deliver a training program to create an elite learning environment.

Dates
The 2019 Football NSW Institute program will commence in October 2018 for a 42 week period.
Coaches will be required to conduct four sessions, plus a game each week.
Remuneration will be between $14,000 – $20,000 dependent upon coaching qualification and experience.

Key Timelines

  • 17th August 2018 – Closing date for Applications
  • 31st August 2018 – Positions will be appointed
  • October (exact dates TBC) 2018 – Trials and selection process commences
  • Training schedule of three to four sessions per week to commence in November after the final squads have been selected.
  • Applications for Football NSW Girls Institute Coaches must be submitted before close at Close of Business Friday 17th August 2018.

Other Important Information: 

  • Coaches will be required to hold a minimum of an FFA/AFC B Licence.
  • Goal Keeper Coach required to hold a minimum of an FFA/AFC Level 1 GK Licence
  • Positions available for Under 13-16 (four teams) as well as a Goal Keeper Coach. Five Head Coach positions available.
  • Understanding of the FFA National Football Curriculum and the underlying philosophy
  • Demonstrated communication, organisation and leadership skills
  • Previous experience in coaching within elite football player development programs
  • Coaches must either have or obtain a current Working with Children’s number (see below)

Working with Children Check (WWC) Number
Successful applicants will be working with children under the age of 18. You will be required to undertake a Working with Children Check (Employee) as this is a paid position. If you do not already have a number or need to upgrade your number from volunteer status, you can apply online via the Office of the Children’s Guardian website.
