The TAFE NSW Summer Football Program in St George kicked off this week with programs being run at the new Ador Avenue synthetic sports field and Peakhurst Park.

SGFA’s summer program, endorsed by Football NSW, is into its 3rd season with more than 120 team registrations across both sites, an increase in 70% on 2017.

The competitions running are under 6s, 8s, 10s, 12s, 14s, 16s as well as all age men and women and the Association hopes to create an over 35 division in 2019.

General Manager, Craig Kiely, was thrilled with the success of the program.

“Football never stops these days and it is important that the game continues to provide participation opportunities for everyone on a year round basis”.

“I want to particularity thank our local clubs for their support and promotion of this seasons program. We have many teams registered who have been formed direct from their winter season Club sides”. Kiely Stated

With more improved facilities on their way in 2019, including a brand new synthetic and amenities building at Peakhurst Park 5, the Association expects these numbers to continue to grow next season.
