National Premier Leagues 2 NSW Men’s outfit Hills United FC have appointed former Central Coast Mariners and Dutch star Patrick Zwaanswijk as the club’s new Head Coach for the 2019 football season.

Zwaanswijk comes with some quality pedigree especially as a former professional footballer where he played for the likes of the mighty Ajax Amsterdam as well FC Utrecht and NAC Breda in the Netherlands.

The 43-year-old spent three seasons playing in the Hyundai A-League with the Central Coast Mariners where he quickly became a cult hero, playing 99 matches as well as being recorded as the oldest A-League player at 38 years and 3 months to win a Grand Final during the 2012/13 season.

The big central defender then went on to play local football in the Central Coast Association with Southern & Ettalong United as well as Terrigal United.

Hills United FC are hoping that his experience as a player and now more recently as coach will steer the club towards hopeful promotion into NSW’s top tier in 2020.
