The regular season may be over, but many of our local community clubs and centres are still kicking on despite the warmer weather with ALDI MiniRoos Kick-Off Programs still in full swing.

In October of 2018 Football NSW was able to give some of our local affiliated clubs the opportunity to conduct ALDI MiniRoos Kick-Off Programs during the post season (October – December).

The ALDI MiniRoos Kick-Off program has proven to be increasingly popular amongst clubs over the 2018 season. . This year two clubs have made a notable impact by utilising the FNSW financial support for their first ever program, those being Bathurst 75 FC & Lake Heights Junior FC.

The Western Regional club of Bathurst 75 FC was the only club within their district to offer the program during the warmer months, which in turn saw plenty of interest from the local community to participate as well as broadcast including local radio stations.

The club had a total of 41 participants in the Kick-Off program, with seven young Game Leaders (coaches) volunteering their services to assist with guiding the young MiniRoos through fundamental skills & components of the game, with the help of experienced Club Coaches.

The commencement of the summer program has only improved the already great atmosphere at the club by introducing more volunteers, players and families to the established club.

Bathurst 75 FC are already looking forward to the 2019, with a pre-season program already experiencing plenty of interest from the community. For more information about Bathurst 75 FC and their programs, please click here.

Meanwhile, our Southern Regions have also been experiencing Summer success within the ALDI MiniRoos space, with Lake Heights Junior FC also thriving with the subsidy. The club is also another lone off-season program, with 29 participants attending weekly sessions.

Mark Tyson and Bobby Naumovski from the club have achieved outstanding results through local promotions within the region, as well as through numerous media outlets including local radion.

The club will be running a second summer program, with the upcoming date commencing right in time for the 2019 season – for further information please click here.
