Youthsafe announced community partners with Gladesville Hornsby FA

Draft-2

The Gladesville Hornsby Football Association is pleased to announce Youthsafe as a community partner.

GHFA is proud to announce its community partnership with Youthsafe, a longstanding local charity whose mission is to ‘Partner to prevent unintentional injuries in young people’.

Both organisations are passionate advocates of young people, their families and coaches both on and off the field.

“The GHFA and GHFA Spirit Football Club take great pride in providing our players and coaches in our community with platforms and pathways to play football. We also realise the positive influence sporting clubs can have upon the mostly young people who play.

“This is central to partnering with Youthsafe who have been leaders in the safety and wellbeing of young people for almost 40 years.” Mark Lockie, GHFA General Manager said.

The partnership will see the Youthsafe logo on all GHFA Spirit 1st grade shorts, website and social media posts.

A grant under the NSW Government’s Local Club Sport Program will enable Youthsafe to provide presentations for GHFA club coaches and collateral for GHFA newsletters with information relating to young people and risk on the roads, in workplaces, playing sport and safer socialising as well as articles and research.

“As the Chief Executive of Youthsafe I am delighted at the partnership with GHFA.
“It’s not often synergies are so strong and we are genuinely excited to provide valuable, relevant, resources to parents, coaches, families and of course the young players within the GHFA.” Warren Johnson, Youthsafe Chief Executive.
