Saturday 15th of June saw a new era dawn upon Ewen Park as Canterbury District Soccer Football Association side Hurlstone Park Wanderers ran its first ever Football4all program.

Headed by Hurlstone Park Wanderers committee member Robin Hawkes, the program has a strong focus on children with Autism.

The debut session saw ten players age between 7 to 11 take part as 16 volunteer football buddies assisted with the running of the day.

Club President Rosalie Viney was excited about the prospect of having their own Football4all program.

“As a club, we are very committed to making football available to as many people as possible, and also to using sport to develop a broader range of skills for our junior players.

“The Football4all program is a very important part of this (along with our MiniRef program and the ALDI Miniroos).

“We are also very happy to welcome these young all abilities players to our club.”

This was the CDSFA’s fourth Football4all program within their boundaries as the association has the likes of the Earlwood Wanderers, Balmain & District FC and Marrickville FC all running their own programs.
