UTS Northside v Mascot Vipers PCYC Dee Why 5.50pm Saturday 5 October
Inner West Magic v Mountain Majik Valentine Sports Park 6.20pm Saturday 5 October
Eastern Suburbs Hakoah v Boomerangs All Sorts Indoor Sports Centre 6.30pm Saturday 5 October
Enfield Allstars v Campbelltown Quake Morris Iemma Sports Centre 7.50pm Saturday 5 October
UTS Northside v Mascot Vipers
Unbeaten sides UTS Northside and Mascot Vipers face-off at PCYC Dee Why for a Saturday-evening blockbuster.
Successive wins see the top-two spar off for early honours and its UTS who hold the historical wood leading the head-to-head count 6-1 (one draw).
But Northside have always been hindered by alack of consistency; they’ve NEVER stayed undefeated for more than two games in a row let alone won three on the trot in a hiccup-filled five top-flight seasons.
Not that Mascot have fared much better, their best registered run in 13 premier league seasons has been three straight wins so they’ve both steered into exciting unchartered territory.
Vipers do however have Joel Flores who loves this fixture having scored five goals in the past three UTS meetings; Northside’s Mason Ireland also has fond memories having scored four goals in an exhilarating 5-5 draw with Mascot at Dee Why last October.
Inner West Magic v Mountain Majik
Inner West Magic versus Mountain Majik promises to be a Saturday-evening treat at Valentine Sports Park.
The Mountaineers have only conquered Inner West twice in 13 league outings and face Magic just as they start to stamp their boots on the competition following an auspicious season start.
Inner West have only lost more than two straight home games once in 13 seasons and will favour themselves having won seven of their eight Majik encounters at Valentine.
Eastern Suburbs Hakoah v Boomerangs
Eastern Suburbs Hakoah face Boomerangs FS for the first time ever in the big league at All Sorts Indoor Sports Centre on Saturday evening.
There’s plenty of unknowns in this match-up but the fact both Easts and Boomerangs have shown plenty of spirit in their outings so far, this could be a very interesting meeting.
Throw in the fact Boomerangs are desperately trying to stop a horrible 14-game winless streak away from the capital dating back five years, well, stay tuned!
Enfield Allstars v Campbelltown Quake
Who’d believe Enfield Allstars would play Campbelltown Quake in a bottom-of-the-table Saturday-night battle at Morris Iemma Indoor Sports Centre?
Defending champions Enfield have been rocked by two straight defeats while Campbelltown have also been unfortunate in their double loss, and it’s already a tight record between the rivals.
Quake edge the overall count 10-9 with an incredible 9.2 goal average every time they meet, mainly thanks to Allstars weapon Shervin Adeli’s 18 goals in the encounters while Mark Symington has a whopping 22 for the ‘Towners. His team-mate Danny Martinez has also banged 11 in the net in the last seven Enfield meetings.
